As we evolve, our definition of success evolves.
Our definition usually starts off as something material, but as we grow, it quickly becomes something non-physical.
When that definition shifts within us, what used to drive us no long fuels us anymore.
Our brains transition from feeding off of extrinsic motivation to getting its fuel from intrinsic motivations and once that clicks, you can never go back to being who you used to be.
That’s usually when the world decides to flip the script on us and all of the sudden we start losing the spark and drive that once served a purpose.
This is the beginning of an evolution.
An evolution to a deeper sense of identity and meaning for the work we’re doing in the world.
Although the transition can be uncomfortable, who we become on the other side of that transformation is well worth that temporary sense of feeling lost.
It’s easy to feel lost when you’re stepping into the unknown and evolving into a version of yourself you haven’t met yet.
The transition from lost to found starts with redefining what success means to us, what our values are at this stage of our lives and what our purpose is.
And quite frankly, sometimes the only way to get the true answer to those questions is for us to become still. For us to go within, sit with our emotions and spend time in solitude.
If you’re going through this transition, just know you’re not the only one and that there’s only more happiness & success on the other side of it.
Let go of who you used to be and who you used to think you are. Be patient with yourself and embrace the version of you you’re evolving into.
The world is yours🌍
