Finding your brand voice and building your identity online can be a journey in itself aside from all of the business activity required to grow and monetize your brand.
The path to growing your business nowadays is both a tactical journey and a psychological one.
The biggest psychological challenge and wall I see people hit time and time again is the mirror wall of their identity.
They know who they are in real life, but often find that they’ve created a split digital identity that isn’t as encompassing as who they are in person.
Soon enough, imposter syndrome kicks in, they question their authenticity and become wary of completely going all in on their content creation in fear someone will find out that they aren’t being 100% themselves.
And that’s completely okay.
When you’re showing up online to build a business, you’re showing up to lead and express the professional side of your life.
For some, that’s 50% of their life.
For others it’s less or more.
So don’t weigh yourself down with the heavy expectation of feeling like you need to show all of the dimensions of who you are in one post.
If you’re a school teacher, don’t expect to show up to class communicating to them like they’re you’re inner circle of friends.
There’s a time and place for everything.
So when you show up in your brand, know that it’s the time for you to lead and a place for you to display your excellence.
I hope this video helps.
The world is yours
